Meet the Principal

Jamie Madigan: Catholic Regional College Caroline Springs from 2016

Jamie is a well-qualified and very experienced educational leader who was the founder and managing director of educational consultancy firm ‘INNATE Education’. Prior to this, he has worked in Catholic secondary schools for over 21 years. In this time he has held various positions of leadership including , VCE Coordinator, Learning and Teaching Coordinator, Director of both the Senior and Junior campuses and most recently as Deputy Principal of Student Wellbeing and Faith and Mission.

Jamie actively ‘supports’ and ‘lives’ the faith life within Catholic education and is an active member of the St Catherine of Siena Parish in Caroline Springs. He has a strong understanding of the need to educate the whole person within the Catholic school environment, based on Gospel values.  He has developed a strong commitment to Catholic education and is fully supportive of the ethos and values that underpin it.  Jamie believes that Catholic education offers us a way to deepen our desire and commitment to help and serve others and to be the best followers of Christ that we are called to be.

He has presented at numerous national and international conferences on restorative practices and student wellbeing including the 2015 ‘International Institute for Restorative Practices’ world conference in Pennsylvania, USA. In 2012 and 2013 he attended two ‘International Educational Study Tours’ where he visited the National College for School Leadership in Nottingham England and over 30 high achieving schools throughout Finland, England Scotland, New Zealand and the USA. These educational experiences have allowed him to develop strong global networks and an excellent understanding of contemporary educational thought, practice and pedagogy.

Jamie has completed a Masters of Educational Leadership at ACU, Bachelor Applied Science in Human Movement and Biology and a Diploma of Secondary Education. He has also recently completed the two year ‘Aspiring to Principalship’ Program offered by the CEM.

Jamie is delighted to be given the opportunity to lead the community of Catholic Regional College Caroline Springs, guided by the spirit of the Gospel and ignited through the college ethos of ‘Live Fully-Act Justly’.
